This was the day it reached Simi (Sunday). It originally started in Piru (about 15 miles away) on Friday, 3 days earlier.

The ashes settled like snow, and then the wind would blow them away and they would then collect again-day after day...

My friend Matt took this picture from Northridge. It was advancing down the hills towards Chatsworth. I believe this was taken either Monday or Tuesday...

Dee took this one on Sunday from her porch. All that smoke and ash went right over my house...

I took this in Somis, about 2 miles from my house. This was burned on Sunday as well. Only one home was lost in this neighborhood, thanks to the firefighters! Can't say we weren't warned, can we? The sign says it all...
